Osteopathy

Musculoskeletal imbalances often manifest as back pain, neck pain, or as pain in other parts of the body. Our team of highly trained and experienced osteopaths use various manual techniques to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal problems. Osteopaths use a combination of techniques such as neuromuscular, fascial, craniosacral, visceral, indirect techniques and direct osteopathic manipulation to restore balance and correct alignment which enables the body to heal itself.

Read about different types of treatment we provide:

STRUCTURAL OSTEOPATHY

Structural osteopathic treatment involves manual manipulation to the structures of the body such as the pelvis, spine, hips and shoulder. It is used to improve the physiological function of the body

VISCERAL OSTEOPATHY

This approach assesses and treats the mobility of the organs and the surrounding tissue. Our viscera (Organs) are connected to various points in our body through ligaments, fascia and muscles. Restrictions and dysfunctions in these areas can create strains elsewhere in the body. Osteopaths use this information to assess and treat accordingly

NEWBORN OSTEOPATHY (CHILDREN/TODDLERS)

A gentle osteopathic approach using very soft techniques to the head and spine of the baby aiming to help with digestion issues, restlessness, excessive crying, cranial deformities and latching issues.

CHRONIC PAIN

Chronic pain can interfere with your work and reduce your quality of life. We can help you understand the mechanisms of chronic pain and possible causes for it. Through hands-on treatment, manipulative techniques and bespoke exercises programs we help reverse this chronicity and bring your life back.

PRENTAL & POSTNATAL OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathic treatment can help women in pain during pregnancy, after giving birth and during the pre-conceiving phase, preparing the body to become ready for pregnancy. Pregnancy creates a lot of musculoskeletal changes that alter normal biomechanics. It can also increase muscle tension and decrease range of motion causing pain. Osteopathic treatment can help to increase range of motion, improve tissue texture and reduce pain.

CRANIAL OSTEOPATHY

This approach of osteopathy is very gentle and involves working with the tissue and bones of the head and spine to release pressure. It helps a variety of issues such as muscle tension, stress & tension headache, migraine, TMJ disorders and deep spine tension amongst many other conditions.

SPORTS INJURIES

Osteopaths can help to improve your sports performances as well as treat injuries that may occur by restoring the body’s function, by easing movement and joint mobility which can enhance your performance.

TMJ DISORDERS

Osteopaths can assess and treat jaw pain and dysfunction. They can relate your posture, head position, muscle tension and grinding habits with your jaw pain and address the issue from its origin.

DIGESTIVE DISORDERS

Visceral techniques consist of gentle manipulation to the abdominal organs intending to improve their blood and lymph circulation. It can be very effective for irritable bowel syndrome, hiatus hernia, acid reflux and other digestive issues.

MIGRAINE

Migraines and headaches affect millions of people worldwide and can significantly reduce the ability to function and work. Osteopaths are equipped with assessment skills and techniques enabling them to restore the body from a musculoskeletal and neurological point of view, whilst taking into consideration your mental wellbeing.
